Siemens VDO Produces 200 Millionth Air-Conditioning Blower Motor

At present Siemens VDO Automotive produced the 200 millionth heating and air-conditioning blower motor in Wuerzburg, Germany. The company produces annually approximately 20 million electric motors for heating and cooling blowers, which amounts to approximately 55,000 per day.

Siemens VDO Automotive began production of the heating and air-conditioning blower motor in Wuerzburg in 1969 with an annual output of 22,200 units. The first air-conditioning blower motors were installed on the Opel Kapitaen, Admiral and Diplomat models, as well as other vehicle models.
